Welcome to My Newsletter
Hello!
First, I’d like to thank you for giving me some of your valuable time out of what I’m sure is a busy day.
Now, allow me to formally introduce myself. I’m MJ. I’m an independent fiction author and book editor with over of decade of experience as a professional copywriter and copyeditor. I created this newsletter with the hope of forming deeper connections with readers and writers than I’ve been able to find on social media sites.
Here are the types of content you can expect to receive from me:
Info about my WIP
I’d like to give you some sneak peeks at the new novel I’m working on. I may also ask for input on various elements.
In-depth conversations about my debut novel, A Wonderful Place To Die
I’ll cover themes, tropes, symbolism, and my intentions behind other subject matter. It’s my hope that these discussions will feed your needs for philosophical reflection and critical thought, inspire you, and, if you find the book topics relatable, give you comfort in feeling heard.
Articles about the creative process and creative life
We creatives tend to isolate ourselves in our own little artistic bubbles, which causes us to feel lonely and misunderstood. Having the chance to break out of our bubbles to exchange ideas with people going through the same things we are can make a world of a difference.
Musings
I’ll post questions that I think could potentially lead to interesting discoveries and other food for thought.
What’s Next?
These days, I’ve always got my head down, drafting away on my new novel, so I post a little less than I used to, but I’d say the depth and focus of the post content has increased. You can expect to receive a new newsletter every three to four weeks, although I may send an occasional short newsletter in between longer ones if I have a question I’d like to pose.
Talk to you soon, friend. Cheers.
